Hofner Committee Gloss Natural 1960 Modified Hollow Body Electric Guitar Gloss Natural - RefurbishedThis is a modified Hofner Committee Hollow Body guitar in Natural finish. The Committee was the top end of Hofner's archtop offerings in the Selmer catalogue, and was produced exclusively for sale in the UK. The model was introduced in 1953, and was in continuous production until around 1969. Both acoustic & electric models were available, both sporting luxurious appointments, high quality materials & plenty of ornamental features such as the headstock design & inlay work, not to mention ornate binding & purfling. The Committee was listed in the 1960 catalogue at a price of 63gns, equivalent to £66.15 in decimal terms, and worth in excess of £1900 in today's money. The electronics have been added at some stage in the guitar's life - likely quite recently due to the condition of the wiring & pickups which appear almost brand new. Please see 'Electrics' in the Luthier Report below for further details. This electric conversion has been tastefully performed, with what appear to be modern equivalents of the Hofner 511 Staple pickup being installed. The original 1960 Committee electrics would have sported a small control panel, as was common on a lot of Hofner electric instruments. The Maple neck plays very nicely, with a profile which might be described as a smooth 'D' profile well suited to a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The Ebony of the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers and provides a luxurious playing surface to explore. The archtop body is comfortable in the arms in both standing & seated positions, and even at 65 years old, the instrument retains a sense of luxury that is very pleasing. The Staple type pickups do a great job of capturing the acoustic tone of the instrument, and with the independent volume & tone controls ensure that you are able to dial in just the right tone for any musical situation. Well preserved & tastefully modified, this is a beautiful instrument that is ready to serve as a musical companion to its new owner for many more years. Very light delamination of the finish near the binding means that the seam between the binding and neck can be lightly felt in the playing position. Why is w2 r v2 r?
The equation w2 r v2 r represents the relationship between angular velocity (w), radius (r), and linear velocity (v) in a rotating object. This equation shows that the linear velocity of a point on a rotating object is directly proportional to the angular velocity of the object and the distance of the point from the center of rotation. As the angular velocity increases, the linear velocity also increases, and as the radius increases, the linear velocity also increases. This relationship is important in understanding the motion of rotating objects and is a fundamental concept in physics and engineering. **

What is the mapping from R to R?
The mapping from R to R refers to a function that takes a real number as input and produces another real number as output. In other words, it is a function that operates on real numbers and returns real numbers. This type of mapping is commonly used in mathematics to describe relationships between real numbers or to model real-world phenomena. **

How are relations defined on r x r?
In the context of mathematics, relations on the set of real numbers (r x r) are defined as a subset of the Cartesian product of the set with itself. A relation on r x r is a collection of ordered pairs of real numbers, where the first element of each pair is related to the second element in some way. This relationship can be defined by a rule, such as "x is less than y" or "x is equal to y", or it can be defined by a graph or a table of values. Relations on r x r can also be reflexive, symmetric, transitive, or any combination of these properties. **

How do you rearrange the formula opi r^2 = pi r s for r?
To rearrange the formula opi r^2 = pi r s for r, first divide both sides of the equation by pi to isolate r^2. This gives you r^2 = r s. Then, take the square root of both sides to solve for r. So, r = √(r s). This is the rearranged formula for r. **
Is R^q a Q-vector space in R?
Yes, R^q is a Q-vector space in R. This is because R^q is a set of q-tuples of real numbers, and the operations of addition and scalar multiplication are defined component-wise. Since the real numbers are closed under addition and multiplication by rational numbers, R^q is also closed under these operations, making it a Q-vector space in R. **
How do you pronounce the French r (uvular R)?
The French uvular R is pronounced by making a guttural sound at the back of the throat. It is produced by vibrating the uvula against the back of the throat. To pronounce it correctly, try to make a growling or gargling sound while saying the letter R. Practice is key to mastering this unique sound in French pronunciation. **

Very light delamination of the finish near the binding means that the seam between the binding and neck can be lightly felt in the playing position. Filled holes are apparent at the fingerboard extension, likely where a floating pickup was previously fitted. Body: Overall very good condition.
