Yes, jackdaws are known to be nest robbers. They have been observed stealing eggs and chicks from the nests of other bird species, such as songbirds and pigeons. Jackdaws are opportunistic feeders and will take advantage of any opportunity to obtain food, even if it means raiding the nests of other birds. **

Jackdaws and rooks are both species of birds in the crow family, known for their intelligence and adaptability. Jackdaws are smaller birds with distinctive gray and black plumage, while rooks are larger and have a more robust build with a bare patch of skin around their beaks. Both species are highly social and often form large flocks, and they can be found in a variety of habitats including woodlands, farmlands, and urban areas. **

The problem with the jackdaws is that they are causing damage to the roof of the house by pecking at it. This behavior can lead to holes in the roof, which can result in water leakage and structural damage. Additionally, the noise and disturbance caused by the jackdaws can be disruptive to the residents of the house. It is important to address this issue to prevent further damage and maintain the integrity of the property. **

To get rid of jackdaws, you can start by removing any potential food sources from your property, such as bird feeders or open garbage cans. You can also try using visual deterrents, such as reflective objects or scarecrows, to discourage them from nesting in your area. Additionally, sealing off any potential nesting sites, such as chimneys or vents, can help prevent jackdaws from making a home on your property. If these methods do not work, you may need to consult with a professional pest control service for further assistance. **

The Zugspitze is a mountain located in the Bavarian Alps, and jackdaws are commonly found in mountainous regions. These birds are well-adapted to the harsh conditions of high altitudes, making them well-suited to the environment of the Zugspitze. Additionally, the lack of natural predators and competition for resources on the mountain may contribute to the dominance of jackdaws in this particular habitat. **

The choice between a hotel and a guesthouse depends on the individual's preferences and needs. Hotels generally offer more amenities and services, such as room service, concierge, and on-site restaurants, but they can be more expensive. On the other hand, guesthouses are often smaller, more intimate, and provide a more personalized experience. They are usually more budget-friendly and offer a chance to interact with the local community. Ultimately, the decision between a hotel and a guesthouse comes down to the traveler's priorities and budget. **

I recommend using a popular travel website or app such as Booking.com, Airbnb, or Expedia to search for a guesthouse. You can input your desired location, dates, and any specific preferences such as price range, amenities, and guest ratings. These platforms provide a wide range of options and allow you to read reviews and see photos of the guesthouses before making a reservation. Additionally, you can use filters to narrow down your search based on your specific needs and preferences. **

When searching for a guesthouse, consider factors such as location, amenities, and reviews. Look for a guesthouse that is conveniently located near the attractions or activities you are interested in. Check for amenities such as free Wi-Fi, breakfast options, and parking availability. Reading reviews from previous guests can give you insight into the quality of the guesthouse and help you make an informed decision. **
